Pentagon, D.C. (trfnews.i234.me) — A new directive from the Department of Defense (DoD) is ordering all civilian employees to submit weekly reports outlining their work activities. The announcement, made on February 22nd, follows an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) email requesting five key bullet points summarizing each employee’s accomplishments over the past week.
Initially, the DoD advised its civilian workforce to pause responding while reviewing internal procedures due to national security concerns and the potential for handling classified or sensitive information. However, after consultation with OPM and Pentagon leadership, the department has now greenlit the initiative and is directing all civilian employees to comply.
Effective immediately, each civilian employee must respond to the original OPM email, CC their immediate supervisor, and provide a basic non-classified summary of their work. These reports will then be internally consolidated within the Pentagon to streamline workforce efficiency and ensure alignment with the DoD’s core war-fighting mission under President Trump’s leadership.
According to the Pentagon, this effort serves as a “pulse check” on federal civilian contributions to national defense and is aimed at maintaining a strong, focused, and mission-ready workforce while also meeting current fiscal demands.
