Jamestown Resident Charged Following Vehicle Thefts

JAMESTOWN, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Jamestown, North Dakota man is facing charges, after thefts from vehicles were reported.
a Jamestown man is in custody charged with stealing items out of vehicles this from Jamestown police who received a report from a victim who lost their wallet or had it stolen from their vehicle in the 600 block of First Avenue South in Jamestown the wallet went missing sometime on February 13th a credit card from the wallet was later used to attempt to purchase at a local store February 23rd a second victim reported having their wallet stolen from their vehicle in the 200 block of Business Loop West the wallet contained the victim’s credit card which was later used to make a purchase of over one thousand dollars at a local store during the investigation it was determined the that both the purchase and attempted purchase was made at the same store by the same individual using the two stolen credit cards based on video surveillance a suspect was identified by police February 24th the suspect was located at a residence in Jamestown and taken into custody some of the property which was purchased using the stove and credit card was also seized 34-year-old Corey Douglas Lamont of Jamestown has been arrested on suspicion of the following six felony offenses unauthorized use of personal identifying information to obtain credit over one thousand dollars attempted unauthorized use of personalized identifying information to obtain credit uh unlawful entry into a vehicle theft of lost or mislaid property and theft of a credit device Lamont was taken to Sussman County Corrections where he awaits formal charges the investigation into these incidents and similar incidents are ongoing and further charges are possible that was from Jamestown police I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
