JAMESTOWN, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) – The North Dakota Sex Offender Registry lists Ronald Scott Thompson, 62, of Jamestown, as incarcerated following a past conviction for gross sexual imposition.

According to records, Thompson was convicted in Burleigh County District Court under statute 12.1-20-03. He received a 10-year sentence, with three years suspended. The court also credited him with 125 days of time served and ordered supervised probation following incarceration.

Thompson is registered as a moderate-risk offender. His current registration is set to expire on July 11, 2027, though he remains on the state registry while incarcerated.

The registry describes Thompson as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 230 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. His skin tone is listed as fair, and he is categorized as non-Hispanic or not Latino.

Several scars and tattoos are documented, including:

  • Tattoos on his chest with the names Amy and Kayle, along with two hearts.

  • Tattoos on both arms depicting images such as a Viking, a sword, a shield, and a tower with a clock.

  • Multiple scars on his arms, ankle, knee, wrist, and right hand.

His current registered residence is listed as 2521 Circle Drive, Jamestown, ND, in Stutsman County.

Officials emphasize that the North Dakota sex offender registry is a public safety resource. However, they caution the public that misusing registry information to harass or target offenders is illegal.
