JAMESTOWN, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a dramatic turn of events following a harrowing Sunday night emergency, a Jamestown couple now faces severe legal consequences after their 2-year-old child miraculously survived a fentanyl overdose. Christopher Johnson and Rhiannon Hufsteler are at the center of a criminal investigation, accused of endangering the life of their toddler.

Emergency responders rushed to 1308 6th Avenue Northwest in response to reports of a child gasping for air. Thanks to the quick administration of Narcan, the child regained consciousness. However, subsequent investigations uncovered a disturbing reality. Johnson and Hufsteler admitted to having both meth and fentanyl in their residence, with Johnson suggesting his daughter might have accessed the drugs while sleeping on his chest.

Authorities executed a search warrant, revealing drugs and paraphernalia on the premises. Johnson faces charges including endangerment of a child, reckless danger, prohibited acts, and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Hufsteler is charged with prohibited acts and reckless endangerment.
