Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) — 🚨 BREAKING: Two men injured in a serious crash near Northwood, Grand Forks County!
A right-angle collision occurred at 7:38 AM on March 6, 2025, at the intersection of 34th Street NE and 1st Street NE, approximately four miles south of Northwood.
🔹 What Happened?
- A 1999 Ford F350, driven by a 31-year-old man from Hatton, ND, ran a stop sign while traveling westbound on 1st Avenue NE.
- He crashed into a 2004 Ford F150, driven by a 53-year-old man from Northwood, ND, who was traveling southbound on 34th Street NE.
- The impact sent both vehicles into a ditch, where they collided with an electrical power pole.
🚑 Injuries & Response
- Both drivers sustained injuries.
- The 53-year-old driver of the F150 was transported to Northwood Deaconess Hospital by ambulance.
- Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.
⚠️ Power Outage & Road Closure
- The crash knocked down power lines, temporarily closing 34th Street NE.
- Nodak Electric Cooperative crews are working to restore power.
