Aurora (trfnews.i234.me) – A disturbing and violent assault inside an Aurora, MN apartment complex left one woman hospitalized with severe injuries, including a severed finger, while another victim suffered hair ripped from her scalp. The attacker also allegedly choked a small dog before being restrained by a bystander.
Authorities rushed to the scene at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2025, where they found 29-year-old Madusu Jawara being physically held down by a witness in the apartment lobby.
Victim 1: Suffered an “unbearable” bald spot after her hair was ripped out.
Victim 2: Bitten, had part of her finger severed, choked, and beaten until she required emergency airlift.
Dog: Choked and pulled by its hair before being rescued.
Jawara fought police and medical staff, attempting to bite officers and spit at a nurse.
Brutal Attack Details
According to police reports: Jawara attacked the first victim unprovoked, ripping out her hair.
A second woman tried to intervene and was brutally bitten, severing part of her finger.
Jawara shoved the second victim into a chair and attempted to choke her.
She also grabbed the victim’s small dog, pulling its hair and choking it.
Jawara was aggressive at the hospital, trying to bite officers and medical staff.
Victim Airlifted After Condition Worsens
The second victim later experienced internal bleeding in her neck and was airlifted to a Duluth hospital in critical condition. Her current condition remains unknown.
Serious Charges & Potential 20-Year Sentence
Jawara has been charged with: First-degree assault causing great bodily harm (up to 20 years in prison)
Third-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm
Fourth-degree assault on a peace officer
Mistreatment of animals
Obstruction of the legal process
Jawara remains in custody as the investigation continues.
