Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) — A homeless man in Grand Forks is now facing multiple charges after a chaotic encounter with police downtown.
According to court documents, on June 16th at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious activity. When they made contact with the individual involved — later identified as Jeffrey Hall, who is listed as homeless — he allegedly provided a false name and then fled the scene on foot.
Due to Hall’s prior history of fleeing and resisting arrest, officers deployed a taser after he refused to comply. Hall dropped to the ground but continued resisting, refusing to place his arms behind his back.
Hall was ultimately subdued and arrested. He now faces the following charges:
-
Felony preventing arrest
-
Misdemeanor false information to law enforcement
-
Misdemeanor refusal to halt
