NEVIS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A homeless man in Nevis, Minnesota, is facing multiple charges after a terrifying stalking ordeal for a female victim.

According to court documents, George Anthony Abbott, listed as homeless in Nevis, has been arrested and charged with felony stalking, gross misdemeanor harassment, and three misdemeanor counts of violating a protection order.

The victim, who already had a restraining order against Abbott, reported receiving a barrage of harassing communications. Investigators say Abbott sent 99 emails and numerous text messages to the victim, demanding money and making disturbing statements.

One message to the victim’s attorney read, in part, “Tell her I’m sorry I stole all her money and tried to murder her.”

Abbott was taken into custody and booked into the Becker County Jail. Authorities describe the situation as a severe escalation of harassment that violated an existing court protection order.

The case remains under investigation by the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
