Pennington County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On Nov. 18, at approximately 6:13 p.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Highway 59 and 190th Street Northeast. Lisa Marie Reierson Hams, 48, of Thief River Falls, was charged with second-degree DWI with two aggravating factors and leaving the scene of an accident.
According to the complaint, Aaron Donavan Maurstad was driving southbound on Highway 59 when he swerved into the oncoming lane to avoid a northbound vehicle. That vehicle, identified as Reierson Hams’ pickup truck, returned to its lane and collided with the passenger side of Maurstad’s vehicle, which was occupied by him and a juvenile. Reierson Hams allegedly left the scene immediately.
A Marshall County deputy traced wheel tracks to Reierson Hams’ residence at 11278 230th Street Northwest. The pickup truck had extensive front-end damage and was missing a tire.
Reierson Hams admitted to drinking vodka throughout the day and stated she was too intoxicated to drive. A test revealed a 0.21 blood alcohol content. She has a prior DWI conviction from December 2021.
