with gusts up to 60 mph. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold
wind chills as low as 39 below expected. For the Extreme Cold
Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 51 below expected.
* WHERE…In Minnesota, West Marshall and West Polk Counties. In
North Dakota, Benson, Eastern Walsh, Eddy, Grand Forks, Nelson,
Ramsey, and Western Walsh Counties.
* WHEN…For the High Wind Warning, until 3 PM CST this afternoon.
For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to 6 PM CST
Saturday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 6 PM Saturday to noon
CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. The dangerously cold wind
chills as low as 50 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed
skin in as little as 5 minutes.
