GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – We have an update on the large police presence in Grand Forks on Sunday night. The Grand Forks Police Department, along with Traill County deputies and North Dakota Highway Patrol Troopers, were involved in a high-speed pursuit that began in Traill County and ended in Grand Forks at around 9:51 p.m.
During the chase, the fleeing suspect’s vehicle struck a Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department patrol vehicle, causing the suspect to lose control. The vehicle eventually came to a stop after colliding with a Grand Forks Police Department squad car at the intersection of Cherry Street and 28th Avenue South.
The driver, Sean Buy, was arrested on multiple charges, including reckless endangerment, fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and DUI. After being treated for minor injuries at Altru Hospital, Buy was transported to the Grand Forks Correctional Center. The Grand Forks Police Department was assisted by the CART team in processing the crash scene.
