EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In a dramatic turn of events on Tuesday evening, East Grand Forks witnessed a thrilling water rescue as firefighters bravely saved four individuals trapped on the rock rapids of the Red Lake River. The boat, carrying three adults and a child, became lodged in the treacherous rocks near the Louis Murray Bridge, just before the river merges with the Red River.
Responding swiftly to the emergency call, the East Grand Forks Fire Department mobilized their team and deployed their rescue boat into the churning waters. Fire Chief Jeff Bushe detailed the operation: “Our crews assessed the situation and maneuvered our boat to reach the stranded vessel. We carefully evacuated the passengers and brought them safely to shore. We then secured a rope to the stranded boat and pulled it free from the rocks.”
