Head-On Collision in Horace Leaves Four Injured

HORACE, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Four young people were injured in a 2-vehicle head-on crash at Horace, North Dakota late Thursday night.

  2. Vehicle No. 2: 2010 Honda Civic
    • Driver: 16 YOA female driver – injured
    • Restraints: Restrained – all airbags deployed
    • Charges: None
    • Passengers:
      • 16 YOA female, restrained – injured – front passenger seat
      • 14 YOA female, restrained – injured – rear seat passenger

Narrative:

On June 13th, 2024, at approximately 10:55 pm, a two-vehicle head-on injury crash occurred at the intersection of Cass Co. Rd. 17 and 6th Ave N in Horace, ND. McKenzie Moser was traveling southbound on Co. Rd. 17 in a 2011 Buick Lacrosse when she crossed into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with a 2010 Honda Civic driven by a 16-year-old female. The collision occurred in the northbound lane of Co. Rd. 17 at the intersection with 6th Ave N.

After the collision, the Buick remained upright in the northbound lane facing south, while the Honda ended up facing north, partially in the ditch in the southeast corner of the intersection. Both vehicles remained upright.

Moser’s vehicle had been involved in a hit-and-run property crash in Fargo prior to this incident. She was arrested at the scene, charged with DUI and DUI Refusal, and transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for her injuries. The three juveniles in the Honda, including the driver, were also transported to Sanford Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol and Cass County Sheriff’s Office. The names of the juveniles will not be released.
