Hallock Man Charged In Harassment Case

Hallock (trfnews.i234.me) – A Hallock man is facing three gross misdemeanor harassment charges in Kittson County District Court.

Todd Allen Sorenson, of Hallock, is charged in court file 35-CR-26-65. The case was filed in Minnesota’s 9th Judicial District.

The complaint says the charges stem from incidents reported in March and April 2026. The alleged conduct involved following, monitoring, or pursuing another person.

Under Minnesota Statute 609.749, harassment and stalking cases can carry serious penalties.

Alleged Incident In Lake Bronson

According to the complaint, Kittson County dispatch received a call on March 21, 2026.

The caller, identified in court records as C.E., reported alleged harassment involving Sorenson. She said the incident happened near the Maverick Bar in Lake Bronson.

C.E. told authorities she had dropped her boyfriend, Dustyn Haugstad, off at the bar. She then returned to her home in Lake Bronson.

The complaint says Sorenson drove past her home twice that evening. Later, C.E. went back to the bar to check on Haugstad.

Authorities say Sorenson followed her to the bar. The complaint says he went inside while she checked on Haugstad.

The complaint says Sorenson tried to aggravate Haugstad inside the business. C.E. and Haugstad then decided to leave.

Court documents say Sorenson also exited the bar. He allegedly continued trying to speak with them outside.

C.E. told Sorenson to leave them alone and leave the area. The complaint says he later left in a white Ford F-150.

Reports In Hallock

Authorities say C.E. contacted the sheriff’s office again on April 23, 2026.

She reported that Sorenson followed her around Hallock the prior evening and that morning. The complaint says one incident began after she left work.

C.E. said she went to Dollar General in Hallock on April 22. She then noticed Sorenson near a stop sign by Hotel Hallock.

When she drove toward Highway 175, Sorenson allegedly pulled in behind her. Court documents say he followed her east on Highway 175.

The next morning, C.E. was driving west toward work in Hallock. The complaint says Sorenson came from near his residence and followed her into town.

After she parked near work, Sorenson allegedly drove by her workplace four times. C.E. also told authorities she had an active restraining order against Sorenson.

The case remains pending in Kittson County District Court. Court records can be reviewed through Minnesota Court Records Online.

A criminal complaint is not a conviction. Sorenson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
