GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks woman, initially accused of attempted murder for strangling her mother with a purse strap, has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of domestic violence causing serious bodily injury.
Plea and Sentencing
Brianna Lynn Thomas, 20, pleaded guilty to the Class C felony on June 18. She was sentenced to three years, with the first 90 days to be served in jail.
Additional Requirements
Thomas was also ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation, participate in domestic violence programming, and undergo two years of supervised probation. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in her serving the remainder of her sentence.
