Grand Forks Woman Crashes Into Home, Injures Dog in High-Speed DUI Wreck!

Grand Forks, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — New details have emerged about a high-speed DUI crash involving Michaela Baker of Grand Forks, who slammed into the front steps of a home on the 1100 block of 5th Avenue North last Thursday.

According to court documents, Baker admitted to failing to make a turn before crashing into the home at an estimated 40-50 mph in a 25 mph zone. Before impact, she also hit two trees.

A man walking his dog witnessed Baker lose control and barely escaped by taking cover behind one of the trees. Tragically, his dog was struck by the vehicle and thrown 20 feet. The animal suffered serious injuries and had to be transported to an emergency veterinarian in Fargo.

Charges Against Baker:

  • Felony: Reckless Endangerment
  • Misdemeanor: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
  • Misdemeanor: Animal Abuse
  • Misdemeanor: Criminal Mischief

Authorities continue to investigate the crash, and Baker is now facing multiple charges in connection with the incident.
