Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks woman, Tina D. Carothers, is now facing a felony theft charge after a shoplifting incident at a local grocery store. The charges stem from an event that occurred on September 14th.
According to court documents, Carothers was identified through surveillance video as the suspect who fled the scene after stealing two toys and five food items. The total value of the stolen items was reported at $1,769.

Due to this being her fourth or more theft offense within the past four years, Carothers has been charged with felony theft of property. The severity of the charge is based on her history of repeat offenses.
Carothers is expected to appear in court in the coming weeks to answer to the felony charge. The case is being closely monitored, as it could have significant legal implications for the 43-year-old woman.
