hello and welcome to und weather updates weekend special my name is lauren larson bringing you your forecast for the first weekend in october checking out those headlines eric church on friday night at the alaris center on saturday we have both football and hockey games and then we have nelson’s pumpkin patch vouchers from the university that expire on sunday looking at national weather um we have this cold front souping its way through pretty much half of the united states right now cutting the cutting the united states in half bringing some scattered showers up to our area today and tomorrow we see some more storms further down to the south in the midwest as well as down in the southeastern part of the united states checking out those temperatures as we head off to the alaris center for eric church 7 pm on friday should be about 59 in grand forks overnight and headed into saturday morning on our way to the alaris center once again for the ndsu und rivalry football game should be 65 degrees um for tailgating time before kickoff at 11 and then saturday night as we make our way to the ralph for the very first und hockey game of the season against bemidji state 71 degrees in grand forks sunday is going to be our nicest day for outdoor activities maybe going to the pumpkin patch for free um could see highs in the upper 70s or mid to upper 70s right now this is saying 79 at 4 pm but it could be just a little bit cooler than that and on monday those warm temperatures will stick around at 78 um as a high on monday again 70 is going to be our high on friday it’s going to be the most or the coolest day of the weekend we can expect some scattered showers and it’s going to be partly cloudy winds out of the north at five to ten miles an hour saturday is going to be a great day for some outdoor activities it’s gonna be sunny and more fall like weather winds out of the north at five to ten miles an hour and on sunday 74 is the high once again it’s going to feel a little bit warmer light winds again out of the north at five to ten miles an hour with plenty of sun so whatever you end up doing this weekend in grand forks i hope you have a really fun time it’s going to be a great fall weekend thanks for tuning in to und’s weather update my name’s lauren larson
