good morning and happy friday my name is evan rise and this is your und weather update current live look off to the west on our und skycam can see a little bit of uh snow sitting on the lawn out in front of robin hall that’s some leftovers from the mixed precip we had moved through this morning around 6 37 a.m current temperature though hovering right around freezing with that rainstorm mixture moving off to the west with winds south at 14 miles per hour nationwide temperatures much warmer off to the east coast 79 in miami 64 in atlanta other than that west of the mississippi much colder right now in our area we can see current temperatures in the mid 20s to lower 30s alexandria right now 24 degrees with low to mid 30s off to the west over the past few hours we can see the storm system that was in the alabama georgia area yesterday making its way off the east coast and then in our area we can see those mixed precip showers that moved through just a few hours ago those storm reports saw yesterday that those storms that were in alabama georgia brought some pretty severe tornadoes and uh weather down to their area yesterday we can see there are over 20 tornado reports with multiple long track and severe tornadoes homes significantly damaged southwest of birmingham alabama and the same story is true southwest of atlanta across the entire area they had some pretty severe damage yesterday our forecast headlines for our area today though and into next week slippery morning for us because of those that mixed precip that made its way through a cooler weekend and then a nice warm start to the week next week our future cast we can see that weather that was in the south making its way off the eastern seaboard and then we can see a storm system make its way through iowa with other scattered showers and mixed precip up in our area tonight and into tomorrow that we’ll take a look at here shortly and as that moves through the rest of the weekend saying mostly clear for the rest of the weekend today high of 44 degrees with that precip out of our area by 10 a.m and breezy with winds south 10 to 15 miles per hour gusting up to 20. across the area today uh warmer down to the south aberdeen and pierre looking highs of 58 nearing 60 the rest of us in the mid to upper 40s for today tonight lows just below freezing with clouds moving in we do have a slight chance of precip after midnight being a possibly rain snow mixture winds north at 5-10 miles per hour tomorrow high of 46 degrees those skies are going to be clearing up and staying mild with winds north northwest at 10 to 15 gusting up to 20. across the area tomorrow much colder to the south than it has been it’s going to be today other than that pre-sip across most of minnesota and then highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s across the area our seven-day forecast this weekend looking pretty mild that chance of precip today moving out and then overnight tonight another chance of precip and then moving into next week monday is going to be our best day nearing a high of 70 and then shortly after that cooling off again into the mid 30s until nearing the end of the week my name is evan rice thank you for watching und weather update
