Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks teen has been arrested after fleeing from police Tuesday night. According to Grand Forks Police, shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance.
Upon speaking with the reporting party, officers established probable cause to arrest the suspect, 18-year-old Edward Lassonde of Grand Forks. When police arrived at the 1300 block of 8th Avenue North to arrest Lassonde, they found him near his home, but he fled on foot.
A search ensued, and Lassonde was found hiding in a garage one block away. He was arrested without incident.
Edward Lassonde is now facing charges of Simple Assault – Domestic Violence, Criminal Trespass, and Refusal to Halt. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
