Grand Forks, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — Police in Grand Forks say two men were arrested after a reported stolen car chase ended in a ditch.

Authorities say the report came in around 5:35 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. The caller reported a vehicle stolen from 419 N. 6th Street.

Police say the suspects were identified as Christopher Davis, 28, and Tristan Amyotte, 20. Investigators say the two men got into the vehicle and drove away.

Chase ends in a snowy ditch

Officers later spotted the vehicle and tried to stop it, police said. Authorities say the driver did not stop, and a pursuit began.

The chase was short, according to police. Snowy road conditions made control difficult, police said.

Police say the vehicle left the roadway and became stuck in a ditch. Officers then moved in to arrest the suspects.

Foot chase and arrests

Police say both men ran from the vehicle on foot. Officers caught them a short distance away, authorities said.

No injuries were reported. Police say both men were taken into custody without incident.

The vehicle was returned to its owner, police said. Davis and Amyotte were then taken to jail.

Charges listed by police

Davis faces several allegations, police said. They include driving with a suspended license, motor vehicle theft, fleeing in a vehicle, and possession of stolen property.

Amyotte is accused of possession of stolen property, police said. He is also accused of possessing a concealed weapon.
