Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) — A 42-year-old man is jailed after a stabbing at an apartment complex, police said.
Officers with the Grand Forks Police Department responded at 4:33 p.m. Saturday, February 14. The call reported a stabbing at Lagrave Place Apartments. The complex is at 812 4th Ave. S.
What happened
Police said they found a woman with stab wounds. Paramedics took her to Altru for treatment. Police said her injuries were not life-threatening.
Officers secured the area while medics helped the victim. Detectives then began interviews. They also looked for signs inside the building.

Arrest and charges
Police identified the suspect as Fernando Lucio of Grand Forks. Officers located Lucio a short time later, police said. He was found at a neighboring apartment building.
Lucio was taken into custody without a struggle, police said. He was booked into jail Saturday evening.
Police listed two arrest charges. They were aggravated assault and terrorizing. Those charges are accusations. A prosecutor may file formal charges later.
