Grand Forks Resident Accused of Assaulting Officer in Grafton

GRAFTON, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Grand Forks man is charged with assaulting an officer in Grafton, North Dakota.
the 24 year old Jason Waldner of Grand Forks is charged with assaulting an officer in Grafton according to court documents on April 1st at 1 50 pm he was found slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle in the parking lot behind the Grafton car spa the officer knocked on the window and Waldner moved slightly but stayed slumped over the steering wheel according to court documents the officer opened the door and could see a partially filled bottle of Jose Cuervo on the passenger seat the officer reported Waldner had slurred speech and was unable to formulate a sentence or answer questions he wound up falling outside the vehicle and struggling with the officer a citizen came to help Waldner wound up being tased then medically cleared before being taken to jail Waldner is now facing a felony charge of assault on a peace officer and three misdemeanors of Disobedience of a Judicial order DUI and preventing arrest I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
