good morning everyone welcome to und’s weather update my name is trees hop as we take a look at our headlines for this morning we do expect some high wind gusts today tonight and continuing into tomorrow so be aware of that frost is expected friday and sunday morning as those overnight temperatures do reach the freezing point we’re looking at a pretty cool weekend for this saturday and sunday if we take a look outside we do see a beautiful clear sky to start our wednesday morning temperature at 44 degrees with those winds out of the northwest at 11 miles per hour if we take a look international temperatures we see much of the united states it’s sitting in this mid 50s range our high point on the map is miami at 80 those temperatures cool as we reach towards the northern united states if we take a look at the temperatures in our region we see that much of it is sitting in the mid to upper 40s rapid city a little warmer up at 53 degrees to start this morning we take a look at our national satellite and radar the east coast is covered in this system as it pushes its way out towards maine and into canada so we expecting a lot of wet weather out there if you’re in that region it’s also this little system here in minnesota moving its way into wisconsin that is part of the rain that we saw yesterday evening if we take a look at the future cast for our region we do see that’s those spotted showers that we could be expecting today and into tonight bringing those clouds thursday and clearing up a little bit in the overnight but returning for friday morning today we are expecting a high of 58 again quite windy with those winds out of the northwest 16 to 26 miles per hour gusts up into the high 30s possible rain tonight and into the beginning of this evening tonight we are sitting at 39 those winds do not die down as they stay at 36 for those gusts so be aware of that as you’re driving around tonight tomorrow 49 those temps cool as we reach the 40s frost is coming the next morning be aware of that again those winds are not settling down so be aware of those strong gusts and higher sustained winds as we move into tomorrow looking at our seven day forecast we do see this cooler weekend as we sit in the low 50s maybe a little warmer as we hit monday and tuesday but like i said that frost is expected on friday and sunday as those overnight temperatures do reach the freezing point thank you so much for joining und’s weather update my name is terese hopp
