Grand Forks, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A Grand Forks woman is facing a series of serious criminal charges following a violent early morning incident in downtown Grand Forks.
According to court documents, at approximately 2:13 a.m. on May 4th, officers observed Kiera Rene Haskins striking a man over the head with a bottle on the 100 block of 2nd Avenue North. As officers attempted to intervene, Haskins reportedly resisted arrest, struggling with law enforcement and kicking an officer during the altercation.
The situation further escalated after she was taken into custody. Haskins allegedly caused damage to the interior of the patrol vehicle during transport.
As a result of the incident, Kiera Rene Haskins is now facing the following charges:

Felony Simple Assault

Misdemeanor Preventing Arrest

Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief
Authorities have not released further information regarding the victim’s injuries. Haskins is expected to appear in court to face these charges soon.
