Grand Forks, North Dakota ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A motorcycle crash on Friday night left one man with serious injuries, according to authorities. The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. at the intersection of South Columbia Road and 24th Avenue South. Police say a 22-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Columbia Road when the collision occurred.
At the same time, a 19-year-old man driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup was heading southbound. As the pickup driver attempted to make a left turn, the motorcycle struck the front of the truck. The impact caused major damage to both vehicles.
The motorcycle rider sustained serious, incapacitating injuries and was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks for emergency treatment. Authorities report the driver of the Toyota Tacoma was not injured.
The Grand Forks Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash. Officials have not yet released the identities of those involved. Investigators say factors contributing to the collision are still under review.
