GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – 37-year-old Raymond L. Graham Jr. from Grand Forks faces severe legal consequences after a traffic stop unfolded into a drug trafficking case. On June 5th, at 2:03 a.m., law enforcement pulled Graham over on the 2700 block of South Washington Street for speeding. What began as a routine stop quickly escalated when officers detected the smell of marijuana. Upon searching Graham’s vehicle, they uncovered over a pound of marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale, baggies, and two bottles of fake urine. Knowing the severity of the situation, Graham fled on foot, leading officers on a 350-yard chase. Eventually, he confessed to fleeing because he was armed and a convicted felon. The charges against him include possession with intent to deliver meth and marijuana, unlawful possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor offenses related to fraudulent practices in urine testing and refusal to comply with authorities. Notably, Graham has a prior conviction for robbery with a dangerous weapon in North Carolina.
