Grand Forks Man Sentenced to 6 Years in Chilling Attempted Murder Case

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Grand Forks man has been sentenced to 6 years in prison in a chilling tale of Attempted Murder.
the 21 year old oak molasses off of Grand Forks has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of attempted murder stalking and criminal mischief Judge Donald Hager also recommended a mental health evaluation in prison and when his sentence is complete a potential deportation to use Pakistan here’s some of our original reporting on this case from September 11th of 2018 we have a chilling account of a Grand Forks man now charged with attempted murder terrorizing stalking and more on September 5th Akmal as Azov allegedly attacked a woman with a knife the victim escaped with minor wounds she had briefly dated as Azov in January and cut off communications with him according to court documents in an interview with police he stated that he recently decided to kill the woman because he believed she was the cause of all the stress and negativity in his life he purchased a folding pocket knife for the specific purpose of killing her again according to court documents these are Aza’s offs words talking to police he followed the victim around the University of North Dakota campus and elsewhere within the city of Grand Forks for several weeks but could not find the right time to kill her he planned an attempted to kill the victim on campus a few times but lost his nerve at the last minute after the last attempt to kill the victim on campus he followed her to the apartment building on garden View Drive he lost his nerve and drove home several miles away then rode his skateboard back to the female victims apartment and waited to confront her while waiting he smashed the victims back car window with his skateboard the female victim came outside and noticed her smashed car window as Azov attacked and grabbed her from behind he attempted to cut the female’s throat with a pocketknife he had bought specifically for that purpose when the first attempt failed as a Soph tried several more times when the female victim fell to the ground he tried to stab her several more times a third party witness intervene and distracted Aza’s off which allowed the victim to get to a safe place until police arrived the female victim had three non-life-threatening laceration to the left side of her neck an abrasion and bruise on the front and back of her left shoulder and a bump with abrasion on the back of her head again a 21 year old AK mill as Azov has now been sentenced to six years in prison I’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
