GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A Grand Forks resident, Kyle John Spicer, 35, entered guilty pleas to several domestic violence-related charges. Spicer admitted to three Class C felonies: unlawful possession of a firearm by a violent felon, terrorizing, and felonious restraint. Additionally, he pleaded guilty to a Class A misdemeanor for domestic violence causing bodily injury in a second or subsequent offense.

One felony charge, interference with a 911 call, was dismissed under a plea agreement.

The charges stem from an incident on April 25 when law enforcement responded to a report of Spicer being armed and suicidal. Upon arrival, officers learned there were four children in the residence. After a gunshot was fired, law enforcement brought in a SWAT team. Spicer and a woman later exited the home.

Spicer was sentenced to 60 days of electronic home monitoring, with credit for three days already served, and three years of supervised probation. He must complete domestic violence programming, chemical dependency treatment, therapy, and maintain employment.
