GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Nolli Hedaria Neal Sr., 50, made a significant legal maneuver by waiving his preliminary hearing, which was slated for Monday, April 15, and entered a plea of not guilty to four felony drug crimes in Grand Forks.
Neal’s legal troubles began in March when law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence. According to a probable cause statement filed in the case, authorities uncovered a substantial cache of illegal substances and contraband. Inside the residence, police allegedly discovered approximately 806.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 60.5 grams of suspected cocaine HCL, 19.2 grams of suspected cocaine base, and 399.7 grams of marijuana. Additionally, a handgun and $12,360 in small denominations were seized during the search.
As a result of these findings, Neal is facing a litany of serious charges. He is charged with two Class A felonies for possession of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine and possession of at least 50 grams of cocaine with intent to manufacture or deliver. Additionally, Neal faces a Class B felony charge for possession of cocaine with intent and a Class C felony charge for possession of marijuana with intent.
A final dispositional conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on July 11, marking the next phase in Neal’s legal proceedings.
