Grand Forks Man Pleads Not Guilty to Charges from Basketball Court Shooting

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks man waived his Monday, July 8, preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to two felony charges stemming from a reported shooting at a local basketball court.

Allen Jaborie Ticordiyae Little, 24, pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment showing extreme indifference, both Class C felonies with maximum five-year sentences.

On May 25, law enforcement was dispatched to the 1100 block of Seventh Avenue South in Grand Forks, according to a probable cause statement filed in the case. At the basketball court located there, Little and another man allegedly got into a verbal argument that escalated to a physical altercation.

At one point, the other man was shot. Little admitted to shooting the man but not trying to kill him, the statement said.

Little’s final dispositional conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.
