GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – A 21-year-old Grand Forks resident, Ian Kramchuck, has been charged with multiple offenses following a series of incidents over a four-month period. The charges include 11 counts of theft, 3 counts of burglary, 2 counts of attempted burglary, 6 counts of unlawful entry into a vehicle, and 5 counts of criminal mischief.
According to court documents, the initial incidents occurred on May 11, 2024, when Kramchuck allegedly broke into a vehicle, stealing a wallet, Adderall, a debit card, and a credit card. Later that day, he reportedly entered two additional vehicles, taking $80 in cash and two handguns.
Subsequent incidents on July 30 involved the alleged break-in of two vehicles, resulting in the theft of $100 in cash and $200 in gift cards, followed by unauthorized entry into two businesses.
On August 1, Kramchuck is accused of breaking into three businesses in downtown Fargo, stealing over $1,000 in cash, multiple credit cards, a card reader, and causing damage to two cash registers.
The series of events continued on August 4, when Kramchuck allegedly stole a vehicle from a residence. The vehicle was recovered on August 5, containing a suitcase with previously reported stolen items.
Law enforcement officers arrested Kramchuck on August 12. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 3, 2025.
