Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) – Marshawn Wooten, a Grand Forks man, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the rape of a juvenile girl under the age of 15. The sentencing follows a plea deal in which Wooten admitted to one count of gross sexual imposition.
Details of the Crime
The charges stem from multiple incidents involving a girl under the age of 15, which took place in April and May at Wooten’s apartment located at 2510 Night Drive in Grand Forks. Two other juvenile girls witnessed the sexual acts, and the entire incident was recorded.
According to the criminal complaint, Wooten also bought the girls a BuzzBall, an alcoholic beverage, which was given to them during the incidents. The case has drawn attention due to the involvement of minors and the severity of the crimes.

Other Charges and Plea Deal
In addition to the rape charges, Wooten is facing charges for possessing prohibited materials, including a video showing a nude girl in the shower. He is also accused of luring minors by using social media to attract them.
As part of a plea agreement, Wooten pleaded guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition. He has been sentenced to 20 years in prison and 10 years of probation once his sentence is complete.
Sentencing and Community Impact
The sentence reflects the seriousness of the crimes and serves as a reminder of the long-term consequences of child abuse. Wooten’s actions have harmed the victims and raised concerns about the risks posed by online predators.
