GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Jayden Lloyd, a 21-year-old resident of Grand Forks, is now confronting a litany of charges following a harrowing series of events early Saturday morning. Allegedly commencing with an altercation at the Legrave Apartments, Lloyd purportedly engaged in a physical confrontation, wielding a hatchet and inflicting a non-life-threatening injury on another individual. Fleeing to his residence on Oak Street, further chaos ensued as gunshots rang out from inside the home.
Law enforcement swiftly responded, establishing a perimeter and calling in additional resources, including SWAT and negotiation teams. A tense standoff ensued, ultimately leading to Lloyd’s apprehension. Inside the residence, officers discovered a disturbing scene, with firearms, blood, and evidence of gunfire littering the premises.
In subsequent interviews, Lloyd admitted to the altercation, as well as firing rounds from his Taurus 9mm handgun in a fit of anger. Furthermore, a search of his residence uncovered illicit drugs, adding to the gravity of the situation.
