Grand Forks Man Faces Major Drug and Firearm Charges, Pleads Not Guilty

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – On July 19, 2024, Nolli Hedira Neal Jr., 33, from Grand Forks, waived his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to seven serious felony charges involving drug and firearm possession. Neal is charged with two Class A felonies: the delivery of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine and possession of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, each carrying a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

Additional charges against Neal include two counts of Class B felony methamphetamine delivery, Class C felony marijuana possession with intent to deliver, Class C felony theft of a firearm, and Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Neal is involved in two separate criminal cases. In the first, he faces allegations of possessing a stolen AR-15-style rifle, an AR-pistol, approximately 177.9 grams of methamphetamine, 88.1 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. In the second case, he is accused of selling over 150 grams of methamphetamine to an informant.

A final dispositional conference for both cases is set for October 10, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
