Grand Forks ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A Grand Forks man has pleaded not guilty to a serious felony charge involving alleged sexual contact with a sleeping teenager. The case is now proceeding in the North Dakota District Court.

Court records show that 28-year-old Dylon Julius Tetzloff waived his preliminary hearing on Monday, September 8. He entered a plea of not guilty to Class A felony gross sexual imposition, a charge that carries a possible penalty of up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

According to a declaration of probable cause filed in the case, law enforcement was contacted in July. A teenage girl reported that she awoke to find Tetzloff attempting to remove her clothing. The girl also stated that he was on top of her. The summary indicates that Tetzloff admitted to kissing the girl before she woke up.

The court has scheduled a final dispositional conference for December 4 at 1:30 p.m. The hearing will determine the next steps in the legal process. Tetzloff remains free on bond while awaiting trial.

Gross sexual imposition is one of the most serious felony charges in North Dakota. State law provides lengthy prison terms and mandatory registration as a sex offender if convicted. North Dakota statutes outline the penalties and requirements for this offense.

The case is expected to draw close attention in Grand Forks as it progresses toward trial. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available through court filings.
