GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend on multiple occasions, sending her to the emergency room several times.
Charges Filed Against Tyler Zejdlik
Tyler Zejdlik has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Aggravated Assault
- Simple Assault
- Theft of Property
- Criminal Mischief
- Disorderly Conduct
Repeated Violence Against Victim
The first assault reportedly occurred on October 19, 2024, when Zejdlik and the victim got into an argument. According to court documents:
- He picked her up and dropped her on the kitchen floor, resulting in a fractured tailbone.
- The injury forced her to visit the emergency room four times for medical treatment.
February 5 Assault Leads to Severe Injuries
On February 5, Grand Forks Police were called to the victim’s home for a domestic assault report. The victim told officers:
- Zejdlik came to her house, angry over money she allegedly owed him.
- He spit in her face four times, called her derogatory names, and then stole her phone and a bottle of Hydrocodone medication.
- As he tried to leave, the victim attempted to stop him, and he shoved her to the floor and destroyed her phone.
- Outside the home, Zejdlik allegedly shoved her head into a support column, causing her to fall to the ground.
Hospitalization and Injuries
Police say the victim was taken to the emergency room, where she received seven staples in her scalp due to the severity of the injuries.
Upcoming Court Hearing
Zejdlik is scheduled to appear in court on March 17 for a preliminary hearing.
