Ramsey County, North Dakota ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A Grand Forks man is facing felony charges in Ramsey County after allegedly cashing a payroll check that had already been deposited into his bank account.
According to court documents, Jason Alfred Martinez allegedly endorsed and cashed a payroll check for $1,181.35 on December 18, 2024. Investigators say the check was no longer valid because Martinez had previously deposited it electronically through his own account.
Martinez is now charged in Ramsey County District Court with felony theft of property.
The case remains under review in Devil’s Lake.
