EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – 63-year-old Mark A. Peterson of Grand Forks is facing a drug trafficking charge in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. According to court documents, on August 3rd at 4:47 PM, Peterson was reported for reckless driving and allegedly ran another driver off the road. His vehicle was later found parked on 422nd Avenue Northeast, an area known for significant drug activity.
When police arrived, they found Peterson standing by his car. He failed a field sobriety test for controlled substances and was found to have 3.8 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket. According to the criminal complaint, Peterson admitted he was meeting a friend to sell the meth. He declined to provide a urine sample, citing concerns about losing his commercial driving license.
Peterson is now charged with the felony sale of a controlled substance near a school and misdemeanor driving while impaired.
