Grand Forks Man Charged with Burglary and Assault After Breaking into Woman’s Home

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A 38-year-old Grand Forks man, Kenneth Nwanjo, is facing serious criminal charges after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home and attacking her. According to the criminal complaint, Nwanjo, who was in a dating relationship with the victim, crawled through her window in the early hours of August 10th after she had made plans to meet him but was instead spending time with a male friend.

Once inside, Nwanjo reportedly tore the screen off a window, entered the kitchen, and physically assaulted the woman by striking her in the face twice and strangling her. He fled the scene but was later apprehended by police. Nwanjo now faces felony charges of burglary and domestic violence, along with a misdemeanor theft charge for allegedly taking the victim’s cell phone and keys.
