GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks man, Thomas J. Hanks Jr., has been charged with multiple felonies following a robbery at a gas station last weekend.
According to court documents, the incident occurred just before midnight on Friday at a station on Demers Avenue near I-29.
Hanks attempted to leave without paying for items and, when confronted by the clerk, claimed he had a gun.
He fled the scene, but police quickly caught up with him south of the station.
During the arrest, Hanks was tased before being taken into custody.
He now faces charges of felony robbery, preventing arrest, and misdemeanor refusal to halt.
