Authorities say De’Angelo C. Brent is now facing five felony charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.
The victim, 27-year-old Antonio Delon Locke of East Grand Forks, was struck multiple times and rushed into surgery. Officials report that Locke is recovering from his injuries.
Details From the Probable Cause Statement
According to the court filing, Locke, Jasmine Deleó, Jacqueline Velva, and Amy Solless had arrived at the home in Grand Forks. Brent also drove to the address and stopped in the alleyway with his car windows down.
A verbal argument broke out between Brent and Deleó. As Locke and Deleó stood on the porch, Brent raised a handgun and fired multiple rounds. Locke was struck several times. The shots also hit the house and an adjacent residence.
Officials noted that an 8-year-old child was inside the home at the time of the shooting, though no additional injuries were reported.
Ongoing Case
Brent is being held pending his first court appearance. Prosecutors are reviewing the full charges, and more details are expected as the case develops.
