Grand Forks Man Avoids Jail Time for DUI, Given Conditional Sentence

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Mark Richard Mondor, 37, of Grand Forks, has been sentenced for driving under the influence but will avoid jail time if he adheres to the conditions set during his August 6 sentencing. Mondor pleaded guilty to the Class B misdemeanor, while a separate charge of refusing to test for DUI was dismissed.

Mondor was sentenced to 12 days in custody, with six days suspended if he commits no new crimes within 360 days. The remaining six days will be suspended if he completes a chemical dependency evaluation within 60 days.

The charges stem from a June 12 incident where Mondor turned into the path of a Grand Forks Police Department patrol vehicle, causing a crash that resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.
