Grand Forks Man Arrested In Major Drug Bust
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — A Grand Forks man is facing multiple felony drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop that led to a major drug seizure. According to court documents, Cameron Shane Anderson of Grand Forks was arrested on October 15 after being pulled over for driving with a suspended license.
Anderson, who was already on probation, was taken into custody, and officers searched his vehicle. During that search, police discovered a large amount of illegal drugs and cash, including 86 grams of methamphetamine, 8 grams of fentanyl, and 533 grams of marijuana. Officers also found a digital scale, numerous small baggies, and $1,457 in cash, which authorities believe to be proceeds from drug sales.
Anderson is now charged with four felony counts involving possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana. He was booked into the Grand Forks County Jail pending his next court appearance.
Law enforcement officials say the seizure represents a significant amount of dangerous drugs removed from local circulation. Fentanyl, in particular, continues to drive overdose deaths across North Dakota and the upper Midwest. Officers emphasize that the amount of fentanyl found in Anderson’s possession was enough to cause numerous overdoses.
