GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks man was taken into custody late Tuesday night following a police pursuit that ended in a crash.
The Grand Forks Police Department reported attempting a traffic stop shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, when the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver fled northbound and later crashed into a pump station building on 8th Avenue South.
The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Brody Welsh, fled on foot but was apprehended. Welsh was charged with multiple offenses, including DUI, refusal to submit to DUI testing, fleeing, refusal to halt, criminal mischief, reckless driving, and failure to have liability insurance.
Both the vehicle and the pump station sustained damage. Authorities confirmed that no injuries occurred during the incident.
