Grand Forks Man Arrested After Assaulting Woman and Fleeing Police

Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) On Thursday night, April 17, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Grand Forks Police responded to a report of an assault in the 3200 block of 24th Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim who had sustained injuries. The suspect, identified as Malachi Redroad, fled the scene on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter. Redroad is currently being held in the Grand Forks County Correctional Center on charges of aggravated assault and refusal to halt. As of Friday morning, authorities have not released a booking photo or confirmed Redroad’s address.
