GRAND FORKS ( trfnews.i234.me ) — A man and woman from Grand Forks are now facing felony charges after a drug sting operation last September.
Jenny M. Bercier and Kevin J. Forschen have been charged in the case. Court records show the charges include felony delivery of a controlled substance, meth. They also face a felony charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.
What investigators say happened
According to court documents, the case centers on a controlled buy in Grand Forks. The buy was arranged by the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force. Authorities say a confidential informant met with the pair during the operation.
Investigators allege Bercier and Forschen sold about 1.8 grams of meth. The reported price was $100. The transaction took place in September, according to the complaint.
Charging documents say the controlled buy was part of a larger sting effort. The goal was to document suspected drug sales. The case was later reviewed for formal charges.

Felony charges filed after review
Felony charges have now been filed in court. The case remains active in the Grand Forks area. Court records will outline the next steps, including hearings and possible plea talks.
As with any criminal case, the charges are allegations. The defendants are presumed innocent in court.
