Grand Forks District Court Sees Rise in Recent Felony Charges

48-year-old adam thorterson of thompson north dakota has been charged with felony theft of property in grand forks district court according to court records on february 25th police were dispatched to a grand forks motel where thorderson allegedly stole a backpack containing eight thousand dollars worth of items including a four thousand dollar gold bracelet and a three thousand five hundred dollar gold necklace uh the criminal complaint says thorson worked as a maintenance employee at the motel and under questioning allegedly admitted to taking the backpack and returned it with all the stolen items and 25 year old david noye jr of grand forks has been charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance and three misdemeanors of possession of meth fentanyl and carrying a concealed weapon according to court records on march 4th he was seen running from the scene of an overdose on reeves driving grand forks he was wanted on a federal warrant and allegedly in possession of drugs six hundred dollars cash and a brass knuckle stun gun and twenty-year-old trayvon boykins of grand forks has been charged with felony conspiracy to deliver fentanyl according to court records the grand forks narcotics task force executed a search warrant as it at his apartment at 1850 south 34th street the scene of several other recent drug busts agents allegedly found him in possession of m-30 fentanyl pills and boykins told agents they were bought in the minneapolis-st paul area for sale in grand forks and 41 year old amy joe schmolling of grand forks has been charged with felony theft of property according to court documents she was arrested at the 32nd avenue walmart in grand forks for having almost 100 worth of stolen items in her purse the criminal complaint says it’s being charged as a felony because it’s her fourth offense in four years and 33 year old tyler staskovich of northwood has been charged with felony domestic violence according to court documents the female victim reported being pushed on the ground thrown onto a bed with arms wrapped around her neck so she couldn’t breathe and being slapped in the face a deputy reported the victim had cut scrapes and bruising marks and 34 year old joshua johnson of grand forks has been charged with felony burglary and misdemeanors of criminal mischief and theft of property according to court documents he allegedly broke into a building’s laundry room on the 400 block of first avenue south in grand forks on march 6. i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
