Grand Forks Police now say it was an elderly driver who caused this crash and fire in Grand Forks Wednesday afternoon this from Sergeant ebertowski at 3 40 on Wednesday police were dispatched to the icon sports arena for a vehicle that had struck a Transformer on the south side of the Arena preliminary investigation indicates that the Striking vehicle was a 2013 Chevy Equinox driven by 89 year old Norma Haley of Grand Forks the vehicle struck the Transformer which caused the Transformer to ignite in Flames Norma Haley had a juvenile passenger inside the vehicle as well neither of them has sustained any injuries from this crash Grand Forks Police Department like to thank Grand Forks fire for their assistance on the scene as well as Ultra paramedics and also uh battalion chief Chuck Marcotte told me that the vehicle hit that Transformer hard enough for the airbags to go off in the vehicle they were a little bit shaken up when they were taken out I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
