Grand Forks Couple Charged After Drug Trafficking Stop With Child in Vehicle | trfnews.i234.me

Grand Forks County, North Dakota ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Two Grand Forks residents are facing felony drug and child endangerment charges following a traffic stop conducted by the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force.

According to court documents, Jesus Perez and Erica Perez were pulled over on Thursday, July 24, on Interstate 29 under a search warrant. The couple was reportedly returning to Grand Forks after renting their vehicle two days earlier.

Inside the vehicle, officers discovered their 2-year-old son in the back seat, along with a significant quantity of drugs and cash. Authorities seized 263 grams of cocaine (over half a pound) valued at more than $30,000 in the region, as well as 40 grams of marijuana and $3,875 in cash.

Both suspects are charged with felony possession with intent to deliver cocaine and child endangerment.
